A good skincare routine does not need ten different products. A gentle cleanser, a moisturizer, sunscreen and one well-chosen facial oil make a routine you can actually keep.
The botanical oil we get asked about most is moringa seed oil. Pressed from the seeds of the Moringa oleifera tree, it is naturally golden and light enough to be genuinely versatile.
But when should you apply it, how many drops, and does facial oil go before or after moisturizer? Here is the short guide.
What Is Moringa Face Oil?
Moringa face oil is pressed from the seeds of the Moringa oleifera tree. Our Golden Face Oil Serum is cold-pressed and single-ingredient, with no added fragrance, fillers or preservatives.
Cold pressing matters because the oil is extracted mechanically rather than with high heat, which preserves the character of the oil. The result is deliberately simple: Moringa oleifera seed oil, and nothing else.
Why Moringa Oil Is Used in Skincare
Moringa seed oil naturally contains fatty acids, particularly oleic acid, common in botanical oils used in cosmetics. Its emollient character is what helps skin feel soft, smooth and conditioned.
The other advantage is range. The same bottle works for the face, the neck, hair ends, a beard, cuticles, hands, and dry patches on elbows or knees. Think of it less as a treatment and more as a finishing step.
How to Use It
Start with 2 to 3 drops. That is genuinely enough for a whole face.
- Cleanse. Start with clean skin and pat dry.
- Warm 2 to 3 drops in your palm.
- Press it in. Rather than rubbing hard, press and smooth the oil over face and neck, then give it a moment to absorb.
- Moisturize if you want to. Follow with your usual moisturizer depending on your skin.
Before or After Moisturizer?
This is the most common question about facial oils, and there is no single right answer for everyone. The practical approach is to apply a small amount to clean skin and layer moisturizer on top if you want it. Experiment and see what your skin prefers.
The one rule that does hold: do not overapply. A few drops is usually enough.
Morning or Night?
Either works. A morning routine might run cleanser, moringa oil, moisturizer, sunscreen. At night, cleanser, moringa oil, moisturizer. Use a small amount in the morning so it absorbs before your next product.
The Three-Drop Method
The easiest mistake with facial oil is using too much. One drop for one side of the face, one for the other, one for the forehead, jawline and neck. You do not need to keep them literally separate. The point is to remember that a small amount covers a surprisingly large area. If three feels like too much, use two.

Five Other Ways to Use It
- Hair ends: one drop between the palms, smoothed lightly through dry or damp ends. Start small on fine hair.
- Cuticles: a tiny amount massaged around the nails.
- Beard: a few drops through facial hair to condition the beard and the skin underneath.
- Dry body areas: elbows, knees and hands, especially straight after a shower.
- Neck and décolletage: do not stop at the jawline.

Oil or Face Cream?
They are not competitors. A moisturizer combines water with oils, emollients and humectants. Pure moringa oil is an oil-based emollient, not a water-based moisturizer. That is exactly why they work together: the moisturizer is your hydrating step, the oil is the conditioning and finishing step.
Can You Use It Under Makeup?
Yes, with restraint. Too much oil right before makeup leaves skin slippery. Use 1 to 2 drops, press them in, and let them absorb before you continue. Skin should feel conditioned, not oily.
How to Store It
Keep the bottle away from direct sunlight and excessive heat, closed properly after use, in a cool dry place.
About the Serum
Our Moringa Golden Face Oil Serum is cold-pressed from Moringa oleifera seeds and bottled with no fillers, fragrance or preservatives. It comes in 15 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml and 500 ml, because a face routine and a body routine do not use the same quantity.
Simple Skincare Starts with a Few Drops
Wash your face, warm two or three golden drops between your palms, take a moment. Morning or night, face or hair, beard or cuticles. One botanical oil, plenty of ways to make it yours.
Zest Of Moringa products are cosmetics, not medicines. For external use only. Patch-test before regular use, and avoid the eye area.
