The colour is naturally pale gold, which is where the name comes from. It is a dry oil: light on the skin and absorbing in well under a minute, closer in feel to a serum than to a heavy facial oil.
Cold pressing extracts the oil using mechanical pressure alone, at low temperature, with no heat treatment and no chemical solvents. That is what preserves the pale golden colour and the light texture. Refined or solvent-extracted oils lose both.
Moringa seed oil naturally contains oleic acid, behenic acid and vitamin E. The oleic acid is why it feels conditioning; the behenic acid is why it can turn cloudy in a cold room, which is normal and clears when you warm the bottle in your hands.
Use 2 to 3 drops as the last step of your routine. Warm them between your palms, then press, rather than rub, into clean skin. Slightly damp skin works better than dry, because the oil has something to seal in.
It is fragrance-free and layers cleanly under sunscreen and makeup, which is why a lot of people with sensitive or reactive skin prefer a single-ingredient oil to a formulated cream. Does it have a scent?
No fragrance is added. What you notice is the faint natural smell of the seed oil.
Can I use it on my hair and face?
Yes. It is one ingredient, so there is nothing in it that suits one and not the other.
